“#1 to Infinity”

By Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s sixth album, “#1 to Infinity”, is one of my favourite CDs. This
album was released on May 15, 2015 by Sony Music Entertainment. The singer
dedicated this album to all her fans and, in my opinion, this is by far her best
album.
What I really appreciate about this album is that it contains nineteen of
Mariah's top ranking songs: “Vision of love”,”Love takes time”,” Emotions”,”I’ll
be there”,”Dreamlover”,”Hero”,”Without you”,”Endless love”,”Fantasy”,”One
sweet day”,”Always be my baby”,”Honey”,”My all”,”Heartbreaker”,”Against all
odds”,”We belong together”,”Don’t forget about us”,”Touch my body” and the
last but not least “Infinity”. The theme of the album is predominantly love and
highlights the fact that true love can exceed any limit, can overcome any
obstacle and can defy time.
Each of the tracks gives us the chance to enjoy the incredible voice of the artist
and the high notes for which she is loved for.
One of the hidden stories of this album, which makes it special, is the song
"Without you" which, says the artist, that her mother sang when she was
pregnant, but also after she gave birth, growing up with the love of this song
initially sung by Harry Nilsson. She said that while sitting in a restaurant with
her mother, she suggested that children of future generations who had not
heard that wonderful song should be given the chance to discover the beauty
of the old songs, so she decided to make an old song that not many people
considered listening to anymore to a worldwide hit for the next generation.
I would recommend this album to people of all ages who still appreciate the
beauty of old R&B and emotional songs, especially teenagers who are just
experiencing their first love that they could go through with the help of these
heart-melting songs. If you want to get rid of the hustle and bustle of the
everyday world, don't hesitate to buy this album of inner recovery.
