Section B – About 350 words per question.

1. What do you mean by patent? Critically evaluate the exclusive rights of patent and the remedies
available to the patentee in cases of infringement of patent rights.
2. Examine the procedure for Registration of Trade Marks and explain the different types of Trade
Marks under the Trade Marks Act.
3. Briefly analyse the salient features of Designs Act, 2000.
4. Examine the infringement and exceptions to infringement of copyright under Copyright Act.
