Conducting meeting: While working collaboratively, conducting meeting is an essential component of

the process. The key to organize efficient meetings is to be an active listener. If one is active listener
than hearing, he can ask questions and make critics on the ideas, also provide his feedbacks. Before
starting a meeting, the team leader should have an agenda assigned for every team member which will
brief them what each person should work on so, the team can collaborate better. After the meeting is
done, the team leader should list the outcome and the accomplishments from the meeting and provide
appropriate critiques to the team members. For better results, each team members can be given an
evaluation sheet to comment on what improvements could be done for better performance. To have
effective collaboration, it is important to be diplomatic in communication, so it does not result in
interpersonal conflicts within team members.

Using social media as collaborative tools: Word Processing tools such as Microsoft Word have unique
features that allow for collaborating with other team members. The comment  and highlighting  feature
provides team members with an easy way to critique parts of a document. Another effective way of
communication is through Messaging Technologies. In messaging systems, Instant messaging and email
are quick ways of sending brief messages to one another. 

Gender and Cultural collaboration: It is important to understand the differences in gender roles
for effective collaboration. In a team collaboration, in general, women show more empathy and
better listening skills,  value consensus and relationships than men do. On the other hand, men
appear to be more competitive than women and more likely to assume leadership roles.
People from other cultures have differences in opinions and how they collaborate themselves
.In one culture something casual might seem offensive in another culture.It is important to be
open and less judgmental with people from other cultures without jumping to conclusions
about what their actions might or might not mean
