Introduction

As part of the machinery condition monitoring, vibration information is used to

determining condition and health of components. This document outlined the
location of accelerometer reading to ensure accurate and repeatable readings
are taken. The frequency information provided defines the possible defects or
deterioration of certain parts due to the operating speed and location.

Trending of vibration levels is a tool used to determine component condition and

identify possible problems. This type of monitoring program is a good method to
determine the amount of useful life in components and ensures that maximum
life is achieved before components are changed out.

Procedure
Adhere accelerometer pads using high strength adhesive or use a magnetic accelerometer base
in the locations shown in the images shown on pages 2 and 3.
