Importance of training.
Every firm has training to test or evaluate whether an individual can do his/task in a company.
Training is important when you applied or hired for a job. This is where you'll learn how to work.
How to do it. Despite if you are already educated. Still you need to undergo training not just
because it is included in a hiring process but because it is necessary for them if you can handle
the responsibility, the pressure, if you can multitask. A lot of us, given that fact that we are good
to academic but fails when it comes to field. So, training is an actual application of all the
learnings you get. Actually, I can say that every day is training day. Why? Because every day,
we learn new things. Big or small, we still learn new today. Changes of training. I’m not quite
sure about that but if there is something new, for
example new projects or initiative or updates, or changes well there is need to change in
training. In my own opinion, the training system in the Philippines should change. Maybe more
strictly. Some of the newly hired employees have just graduated from training.
Then when it comes to the field, they’re
pretty epic. I know we really need to consider them for just graduating from training. But that is
exactly the problem. How did you graduate from your training if you are careless and
you still don’t know what will you do in the field. Considering there are also hands on employees
the same scenario as well
in actual operations. My point is you already graduated from training and still when it comes
to field after let’s say a quarter or a sem or even a year of training, you still lack of practice.
Some of us (yes, I included myself)
are still not that competitive.

And if we look at the business perspective, this is a waste of money and a waste of time. Pretty
tricky right? The sloppy training of other firms is also returning to them. Its not that I am against,
but most of us are product of that training system. That’s why we are told or considered
uncompetitive when it comes to surveys. Because we cannot reach the full potential because of
that lack of training system. Here in the Philippines if you want to reach the confidence of being
a competitive professional, they say you do it on your own. The problem seems to be in you.
Well sometimes it is. It's really in people sometimes. But imagine you have a training system
-where you can boost someone’s self-confidence
-where someone could learn from real life situation
-where someone could learn the reality rather than theories
-where someone could actually do the right thing not just doing the right thing but doing it right?
(I don’t know how it could be it done)But, if that happens, everyone in every firm will definitely be
boosts and have the
confident of a so called professional. And the BIG PICTURE?
Personal growth, Mental growth, Social growth and even economic growth. All of this will be
possible not just for someone but for every individual.
For me, personally, when it comes to training, generally it’s really all about knowledge
and skills. How to do it and how to do it right. Maybe the changes caused by
training for me, personally.
In management, as I am already a manager, I have no idea how to manage work especially
when you’re dealing with people.
That’s what management really is. You are managing people. And it is not similar to deal with
different types of people. It was really hard then. But now I am confident to say
that I can do it. Example. I used to prefer when there was a conflict, I
keep quiet just to avoid arguments, because I really don't like arguments. But now even the
guest is already angry, I can face him / her, explain what cause the problem and do an
immediate action w / o being intimidated by him / her. Aside from my job as a manager, I
learned that the more you push them, the more they push you back. And that’s when the conflict
arises. You will never understand each other. People have different satisfaction when it comes
to products and services. You just need to know what kind of customer you are dealing with,
then definitely you'll know what should be and should not be done. Listen to them.
Take responsibility, make actions and prevent it from happening. Then of course, get to know
them. So, the next time you encounter them, you know what they don't want and want. And as
much as possible you do that to every customer you encounter. That’s how I manage people.
And I learn all of that through training, observing and applying it to different scenarios.
