1.What is Ethics?

Ethics or moral philosophy is a branch of philosophy that involves systemizing, depending, and
recommending concept of right and wrong behavior. It seeks to resolve questions of human morality by
defending concept such as good and evil, right and wrong, Virtue and vices, justice and crime. It has
three major areas of study. These are meta-ethics, normative ethics and applied ethics.

2 What does it mean to be moral

Being moral means to be mindful about the choices in life that have good or evil consequences. For
instance, some people believe that the highest good is to help people and harm as little possible. They
would make decision to spend their time and resources helping those who are in need. However, when
faced by some begging, they may decide not to give money if they alcohol, but instead give them food
or direct them to a shelter to avoid enabling a drug addiction.
