«Success doesn’t come to you.

You go to it» - Marva Collins

I know a lot of people who sit on the couch doing nothing, but want to reach heights. They
read motivating quotes, look for inspiration, and so on. But nothing comes out. And why?
Because, firstly, they do not have a clear goal where to go, there is no drawn future. There is
only an illusion that in this life everything is very easy to come by if you just want to. This is
not true, false, fiction - all the nouns that can be matched to the word "fairy tale", which
everyone composes for himself.
What is success really? In general, the concept of success is very multifaceted. Everyone
puts their own meaning into it. For some people, it is money, for others - it is a happy family
or a peace of mind.
If you want to become successful, then you shouldn't take someone else's “success
template”. There is no need to follow the "strange" path, find your own.
Marva Collins was an ordinary teacher. Worried about the low level of education, Collins
took $ 5,000 (a large amount of money at that time) from her teacher's pension fund and
opened a private school. The school she founded was called Westside Preparatory School.
Westside training was an educational and commercial success. She created her low-cost
private school specifically to educate low-income black children who were deemed to be
unable to learn by the Chicago public school system. Collins said she has the data to prove
that students are learnable and can overcome learning disabilities with her teaching methods
that eliminate behavioral problems and enable students to thrive.
So, what conclusion can be drawn from this little story? Frames are only in our head. As
long as you and laziness walk side by side, you can forget about a favorable future. But if
you want to be more than just a person with a job, choose your goal, take it and do it.
A black teacher from the 50s was able to open a school for students and take it to a high
level. This means that you can also do something worthwhile in the 21st century.
