Title

Arithmetic Sequence and Series

B. Introduction

 Arithmetic sequence is a sequence of numbers such that the difference of any two
successive members of the sequence is a constant.

 Arithmetic series is the sum of an arithmetic sequence.

C. Details

1. Why is your topic important in the real world?

 Arithmetic sequence is important because we can use it in our daily lives and also
arithmetic sequence is with us everywhere we go or every situation we are off to.
For example, signature of an application of real life situation decreases by using
your life problems, such as that give how they are adding terms in order to know the
arithmetic. Browser does that is arithmetic sequence in life situation in separate
steps to all answers.

2. What are its mathematical applications?

 In studying all these, their mathematical applications are always with us.
The arithmetic sequence is important in real life because this enables us to
understand things with the use of patterns. For example, Version of an application of
arithmetic sequence in real world to give me of how many seats per row has just
arithmetic and the problem. An input that is an application sequence in life example
of the initial value of a need to sum of the population.

3. How is the math computed, derived and used?

 These are on how to the arithmetic sequence and series computed, derived and
used.

Example

2,4,6,8,10….is an arithmetic sequence with the common difference 2.

If the first term of an arithmetic sequence is a1 and the common difference is d, then
the nth term of the sequence is given by:

an=a1+(n−1)d   Arithmetic Sequence

We find the sum by adding the first, a1 and last term, an, divide by 2 in order to get
the mean of the two values and then multiply by the number of values, n:

 An arithmetic sequence is a string of numbers where each number is the previous

number plus a constant. The general term is the formula that is used to calculate any
number in an arithmetic sequence.
 The formula says that the sum of the first n terms of our arithmetic sequence is
equal to n divided by 2 times the sum of twice the beginning term, a, and the
product of d, the common difference, and n minus 1. The n stands for the number of
terms we are adding together.

D. Summary

Arithmetic sequence, which is a string of numbers where each number is the

previous number plus a constant. We can used it in our daily lives and also if we have a
situations that we experiencing because our arithmetic sequences have a pattern. It
have a formula on how can we solve our problem. On the other hand, if we add up a
few or all of the numbers in our sequence, then we have what is called an arithmetic
series. In other words, an arithmetic series is the sum of the numbers in our arithmetic
sequence.
