Project report

Introduction
The objective of the project was to enhance the ability and confidence in running the CNC
machine. The project also provides great exposure in terms of using different software and their
functionalities. Though this project skills of different software such as AutoCAD and
MasterCam was enhanced. The knowledge we gain though the course was applied in this project
to gain practical knowledge.

Scope
CNC machine are being used now a days extensively in almost every industry because of
precision and automation. In past the manual machine were used with problems and errors it
might be human error and due to that production was less and less precise but now with the help
of CNC machines production is very high and precision is also high.

Procedure for project:

The drawing was created which is 2D though the AutoCAD and all the dimension and
measurement was checked and then imported the drawing into the MasterCam software. Then
the milling properties and tools were selected. Three tools were selected and their properties wad
set as described by Dr Sadat. After the designing and tool path the stimulation was run. G code
ad coordinates were downloaded and putted into the CNC machine and the piece were obtained
Findings:
The stimulation was checked before importing to the CNC machine and all the properties were
also monitored. After importing the G codes in machine the machine run erectly as the
stimulation and the pieces were obtained. There was problems occurred during the stimulation
and errors were corrected before import.
