Sub: Introduction of Training Modules for training of Loco Inspectors (Diesel & Electric). CRS/Northern circle vide his recommendations in the case of collision of 2176 Chambal Express at rear end of 2133 Gyanganga Express between Naini & Allahabad on North Central Rallway on 08.11.2007 has recommended vide Para No. 9.2 that Railway Administration should take necessary action in organizing suitable training/Refresher Courses for Loco Inspectors. Based on the recominendation of the Mechanical and Electrical Dte. Board have decided that all Lt’s will have to undergo initial and refresher training and have approved the following modules for Loco Inspector (Diesel) and Loco Inspectors (electric). Initial Training module Refresher Training module Li(Diesel) DUI DLL2 UlElectric) Eu-1 ELI-2 The duration of initial training course of Loco Inspector (Diesel) and Loco Inspector (Electric) will be 3 weeks and refresher course will be 1 week. The diesel loco inspectors will be trained in the diesel training centre attached to diesel sheds in the Zonal Railways. The electric loco inspectors will initially be traized at the Zonal Electric Loco Training Centre. Subsequently after setting up of centralized supervisor training centre at IRIEEN, these courses will be centralized at IRIEEN. Apart from the instructors of the training school Sazetted Officers/Visiting lecturers/Sr. Supervisor of Maintenance, Operation, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, S&T, Safety and Personal Department of Railways and faculty from other reputed institutes can be called upon to give lectures. The Railways are accordingly directed to commence these courses for Loco Inspector immediately. All serving Loco Inspectors should be covered under the Initial Training Course within the next 6 months followed by regular Refresher Courses thereafter. Running staff promoted as Loco Inspectors hereafter will be required to undergo the initial training course within 2 months of their promotion as Loco Inspector. DA: Training Modules.
