STEP 1: Students will receive classroom


instruction on U.S. Army screening
operations.

STEP 2: Students will receive a mission


briefing of the scenario and event.

Step 3: Students will be broken into teams of


4-8 and given 1 hour to develop their
strategy for conducting screening. This will
include dividing up the detainees among the
team members and establishing the priority
of order.

STEP 4: Students will screen the 16 detainees


and complete screening sheets.

STEP 5: Students will decide if they want to


screen any of the detainees another time or
have a different screener talk to one of the
already screened detainees. If so, they will
conduct those screenings. They will be given
2 hours to complete all screening operations.

STEP 6: Students will deliberate and select


which detainees to release and which to
evacuate for further interrogation. They will
also prioritize the evacuees by order of who
should be interrogated first. They will be
given 30 minutes to decide.

STEP 7: Students will share their decisions


and give the rationale behind them with each
other.

STEP 8: The correct answers will be given to


the class, and the leaderboard will be posted
based on the team response results.

STEP 9: Rewards will be given out, and


punishments will be administered.
