build-program
The news article from Inquirer Philippines entitled “Understanding the ‘Build, Build
, Build’ program” aims to show how this program can probably be the key if done
congestion as these things are directly related to the productivity and efficiency of
time. The article also said that infrastructures are our weak point as a country and
targeting to improve our weak point is a great idea especially in the transportation
sector in which the projects entails that major railways , freeports , airports,
industrial parks, energy facilities, water resource and irrigation systems, flood
improved . This is really a newsworthy item since it could really be a great help to
our daily lives especially in the area of Metro Manila where hectic transportation is
present every day and if there are numerous projects to be done under this there
a.) Economics – Good transportation system is a huge boost for the economy it
not just only increases the overall accessibility of goods and services it also
reduces the transportation costs namely the travel time, vehicle operation cost,
road and parking facility costs and increase the productivity and development of
all.
d.) Education – As a student myself a good transportation system can really help
the productivity in studying instead of wasting time stucked in traffic and not
getting enough rest since in the state of the transportation system in the
Philippines you’ll be spending a hefty amount of your day waiting for a train or
vehicles to ride.

SOLUTION:
HOME TO WORK
Visiting friends = 0.10 x total home to non-work trips x [total dwelling units in
zone ÷ total dwelling units in study area]
Total dwelling units in study area = single family housing units + apartment units
=15675+7567
=23242
Shopping = 0.6 x total non-work trips x [ total retail employee in zone ÷ total
retail employee in study area ]
=0.1 x 174933 x [0÷28511]
= 0 trips
Nonretail employment = 0.6 x total non home based trips x [non retail employee
in zone ÷ non retail employee in study area]
= 0.6 x 70357 x [820÷27624]
= 1270 trips
Shopping = 0.4 x total non home based trips x [total retail employee in zone ÷
total retail employee in study area]
=0.4 x 70537 x [50÷5502]
=256 trips
Total number of non home based trips in zone = shopping + non retail
employement
=256+1270
=1526 trips
