Adrain Tilley

Adrian Tilley is married with two children, three step-children and three grandchildren, he lives in Devon in a 400 year
old barn. His interests include of the following : music, golf, cycling and films.

He worked as a tutor on English courses for teachers around the UK, in Moscow and New Hampshire, USA. He organised
English conferences for teachers in HK ,2005.

As an English teacher Adrian Tilley wrote five full length musicals produced in schools and several one act plays. In HK,
he adapted ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘Macbeth’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with a local setting. ‘Romako and Julia’
won two awards at the HK Schools Drama Competition ,2006.

Adrian Tilley was born in Northamptonshire so of Mercian stock Educated at Kimbolton School, Cambs., University of
Sussex and London University. He worked as English teacher in Northants and then as Head of English and Advisory
Teacher in Devon. Worked in Hong Kong from 2002 onwards and now divides working time between UK and Hong Kong.

Responsibility’ – a three act play about a colonial family in WW2 – was selected for El Dorado Drama Festival at the
