TITAN BEHEMOTH

This serves as a very simple introduction to how i'm going to be doing these guides obviously there is
no information i can give on the subclass itself and i can only theorise at this point so don't take this
guide too seriously i will most likely be redoing the article when beyond light starts but i wanted to get
this out as an example.
The abilities

The titan melee shiverstrike seems like a mix between shoulder charge and ballistic slam,
there is definitely a similar design philosophy between this subclass in general and striker in
terms of the destruction aspects.

What is interesting to me is how this melee could potentially have higher damage than the
other two abilities due to its combination with freezing enemies. In some of the B roll footage
given out by bungie a stasis titan in super freezes a large group of enemies before ramming
into them with what seems to be the melee ability a shielded major captain dies from one hit
of the melee here which as far as i know is impossible on any of the striker melees which
could demonstrate how powerful this melee is as a major clearer however this is all
speculation and the super damage multiplier may be higher. We have so far seen one titan
stasis aspect which is called Tectonic Harvest and provides this buff:

Personally i hope this melee can be a quick burst damage option on

Chunkier enemies that when combined with stasis grenades can
Cause massive damage, the aspect here could be very strong
Dependent on how much energy is returned.
Moving on we have the super which is the most exciting part for me. I think a lot of people
are writing off the titan super as a striker knock off and while some parts of it seem similar id
argue the super already seems to surpass striker massively.Firstly one interesting thing to
note that hasn't been explained as of yet is that in all the B roll footage of the super so far we
have seen a buff on the side of the screen when in use called ‘Crystalline plating’ i am
unsure of what this buff is doing and whether its built into the class or is a fragment or aspect
however this is still interesting and my guess would be it's some sort of damage resistance
buff due to the name. The shockwaves sent out by the super potentially rival the ability of the
shadowbinder to freeze enemies, we don't have a lot of gameplay of the shadebinder and so
it's not something we can really compare however it seems that both roaming supers will
have very strong ability to freeze enemies. The shockwaves also create stasis crystals which
i assume can be destroyed to cause further damage and also tie in with the aspect
mentioned above. This gives behemoth a lot of support potential as well as its damage from
the super, if you can combo two supers together like a glacial quake and a nova bomb you
may be able to do even more damage via explosion of the stasis crystals. In terms of ability i
think Glacial Quake and Winter’s Wrath will both be similar in usage but what one will be
better than the other is hard to say, personally i prefer the power fantasy of the Glacial
Quake but i think both supers achieve similar goals.

Now I'd like to discuss the three stasis grenades and what I think may work well on
behemoths with the current information we have.

Glacial Grenades create upon contact with the ground, a wall of Stasis crystals instantly burst
from the earth and nearby enemies are frozen inside the Stasis crystal. These grenades have
multiple uses – from encasing enemies to creating cover. When destroyed, the crystals will
create AoE burst damage to nearby enemies.

This grenade seems like a solid option with the current aspect we've been shown due to its
ability to create stasis crystals which can be shattered for more melee energy. Pairing this with
an armamentarium could be a fun build to test out. Furthermore its ability to freeze synergizes
well with the idea of CC which i think is quite relevant to the behemoths playstyle it seems to
focus around controlling the enemies first and then annihilating them before they can overwhelm
the player.

Coldsnap Grenades create upon impact with the ground or an enemy, this grenade unleashes a
wave of Stasis energy that races along the ground in the direction of the closest nearby enemy,
freezing them and then searching out the next nearby foe. You can freeze up to three enemies
with a single Coldsnap Grenade.

This grenade also seems very strong and i think with its ability to freeze enemies it could combo
well with the melee in causing huge damage to a single target

Duskfield Grenades create powerful Stasis fields that suck enemies into them when forming.
Once an enemy is caught inside, they will be slowed and, if unable to make it out in time, frozen
in place.

I'm quite iffy about Duskfield Grenades only because of their reliance on the games enemies to
not somehow just run out of them, i think we need to really see these in action to get a good
understanding of them but they do seem to synergise well with a fragment we know of.
Whisper of Durance definitely seems designed for
duskfield grenades and allows you to play further into
that CC of enemies that could be extremely valuable in
content where you may be underleveled or enemies
are designed to hit very hard, this combined with the
titan melee could create a devastating slow combo
where the grenades is thrown it sucks the enemies in
freezes them and then you melee to shatter them all,
any enemies left would be slowed for an extended
period of time thanks to the fragment

Overall I see Behemoth as a tank/dps class. Destiny has no holy trinity and those ideas don't
really apply to the sandbox but it's clear that the Behemoth as well as stasis classes in general
lean into an ability to prevent enemies from putting as much damage as they normally would. Of
the three classes I believe the behemoth balances damage and cc quite well from what we know
and combined with the new icefall mantle exotic could result in a very powerful build for solo
content or controlling the field to keep less healthy teammates alive. But we can't really talk much
more on this until we have seen all the aspects and fragments and been able to experiment with
them. I hope this proved interesting for at least someone and was a good insight into the sort of
guides I hope to make when beyond light comes out.

Have a good day guys!
