ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The satisfaction that accompanies that the successful completion of any task would be
incomplete without the mention of people whose ceaseless cooperation made it possible,
whose constant guidance and encouragement crown all efforts.
I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Sir Tayyab And Ma’am Hira
who gave me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project on the topic Universal
Electrolytic Torch, which also helped me in doing a lot of Research and I came to know about so
many new things I‘m really thankful to them.
Secondly I would also like to thank my parents and friends who helped me a lot in finalizing this
project within the limited time frame.

ABSTRACT

Electricity is a significant gift of science. It is because of electricity we see the world shinning
like a sun at night. The world shines at night only by help of light (torch, bulb etc). These basic
resources of light operate by means of batteries, dynamo, generator etc. But definitely the source

which operates light equipments (torch, bulb) at night, also need another source to provide
energy to them. There is no source free concept attached to any device/equipment.

Our idea is to make a free source torch. This free source torch will operate with the help of any
liquid, even with urine. There will be no involvement of battery in this torch.

1.1 Introduction:
Universal Electrolytic Torch is a kind of torch which is used as a renewable
source of energy. The main feature of this torch it doesn’t need batteries to
operate it can easily operate by any kind of liquid also with the help of urine
because of that reason it is feasible in any environment and we use it in all
over the globe.

1.2 Hypothesis:
Our main objective is to make a free source torch. This free source torch will
operate with the help of any liquid, even with urine. There will be no
involvement of battery in this torch.

1.3 Theoretical Background:

Electrolytic Cell:
An electrolytic cell is an electrochemical cell that drives a non-spontaneous
redox reaction through the application of electrical energy. They are often
used to decompose chemical compounds, in a process called electrolysis—
the Greek word lysis means to break up.

Electrolysis:
In chemistry and manufacturing, electrolysis is a technique that uses a direct
electric current to drive an otherwise non-spontaneous chemical reaction.
Electrolysis is commercially important as a stage in the separation of
elements from naturally occurring sources such as ores using an electrolytic
cell.

Electrode:
An electrode is a solid electric conductor that carries electric current into
non-metallic solids, or liquids, or gases, In an electrochemical cell, reduction
and oxidation reactions take place at the electrodes.

2.2 Description of Blocks:

Circuit:
In electronics, a circuit is a path between two or more points along which an
electrical current can be carried.
We use the circuit in our project to boost our voltages, because the voltages
generate through electrolysis is lower than our desired voltage.

Switch:
A device for making and breaking the connection in an our electric circuit

LED:
A light-emitting diode is a semiconductor light source that emits light when
current flows through it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with
electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons.

Methodology:
We make this torch with fully alteration technique because it’s our first prototype
and further is on the way, we use PVC pipe for the body of our torch and fixed all
the component of torch one by one inside the pipe.

Hardware Components:
1. LED
2. Torrid
3. Transistor
4. Resistor
5. Electrodes
6. Connecting wires
7. PVC pipe
8. Switch

Applications of Project:

There are a number of applications that can be used as for practical

usage for Universal Electrolytic Torch; some of them are as follow
 Foresrt
 Dessert
 Villages
 Electronics industries

Working Model:

Future Advancement:
In future we also make the concise model of our torch. Also we started working to
make a power bank by using this method.

Conclusion:
This design can be implemented on a complete product form, which can allow
easy maintenance and upgradability and it give us lots of knowledge and
advantages.
