Objective
Nanotechnology is the most rapidly emerging area which can potentially lead to revolutionary industrial
changes for improving health care and health outcomes. Nanotechnology is helping considerably to
improve, revolutionize, many technology and industry sectors like information technology, homeland
security, medicine, transportation, energy, food safety, and environmental science, among many others.
Nanotechnology is broadening its areas in medical tools, knowledge, and therapies currently available
to clinicians. In the field of Pharmacy, nanotechnology provides intelligent and smart drug delivery
systems is expected to emerge as most important and powerful tool as alternate to conventional dosage
forms. The use of Nanotechnology can overcome and improve functionalities of conventional
approaches. It offers a potential for new and faster kinds of computers, more efficient power sources
and life-saving medical treatments. Nanotechnology provides the opportunity to deliver drugs to the
target sites and treat diseases with reduced toxicity/ side effects and improves bioavailability. This
conference will be beneficial to the academicians and industry professionals who will be enlightened by
the importance of nanotechnology in today’s era of pharmaceutical development. The major highlights
will be laid on the process and its stages of development which will be an advantage to the delegates.

About College
Shree Naranjibhai Lalbhai Patel College of Pharmacy (SNLPCP), Umrakh was established in the year
2004 under the ages of Vidyabharti Trust with main objective of visionary in the mission of quality
Pharmacy education. The Shree N. L. Patel College of Pharmacy is located on the way of Bardoli-Mota
road 3 kilometer away from Bardoli and 34 kilometer away from Surat in a lush green sprawling campus
with sufficient infrastructure facilities. The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI),
New Delhi, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by Government
of Gujarat and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmadabad. At this moment, Shree
N. L. Patel College of Pharmacy offers B. Pharm and M.Pharm course in Pharmaceutics, Quality
Assurance & Pharmacology to input knowledge and empower individuals with wisdom to prepare
pharmacist of the future.
The main vision of the college is to emerge as a most preferred institution for education in pharmacy in
the region and to develop multifaceted pharmacist who shall lead the nation to a better future. The
mission of the college is to provide a stimulating environment where knowledge of basic subjects is
integrated with health concerns for the world community, to inculcate professional ethics, social
responsibility and commitment for lifelong learning and to March on par with current developments to
become a professionally competent.
SNLPCP encourages students to pursue their study in a peaceful ambience which help the students to
become virtuous pharmacist who would make valuable contribution to society. We foster technological
innovations, education, development and research for students to be partners in a health care team to
deliver high quality pharmaceutical care in all manners. As a member of healthcare team, pharmacists
are unique in their position with detailed and comprehensive understanding of physical, chemical and
biological interactions on the outcomes of drug therapy
Naturally, the students are well prepared to step out of the portal of the college as a member of health
care team in the growing and grooming, highly competent Pharma field. Most of our alumni are placed
and working towards post graduate course, higher education at National and International Pharmacy
colleges in India and overseas, serving to pharmaceutical companies and as a pharmacist. This stands
a testimony to all our accomplishments.
About Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP)
APP is a unique organization of more than 1200 dedicated professionals willing to serve
pharmacy profession in dynamic which involves people from various arena including
students, teachers, researchers, scientists as well as industry professionals. APP is
continuously gaining attention among pharmacy community of India and abroad.
APP actually aids in extending the knowledge and facilities of several technical institutes,
industries as well as health sectors to the remote areas where the service and live
functionality of pharmacy profession is the real want.
This humble act might be in the form of academic, research or health related activities. The
association is also aware about and share the responsibilities of professionals towards the
community and social liabilities. The APP also accesses the availability of expertise when
it needs and ensures that the systematic teaching learning activities not only occurs but
also reach to the common knowledge development system by acting as source of fulfilment
in case of any need.
Role of ‘Association of Pharmacy Professionals’ is also to think of betterment of the
community, society and also to involve young generation to lead them to run the new era
of pharmacy and related disciplines under the blessings and guidance of previous
generation. We assure the dedicated and wholehearted efforts of our resources and
abilities to push the pharmacy profession in all ways. Let us hope and work for making APP
more visible at every forefront of scientific, academic and research fields. May the kind
