Defects in Concrete Pavement-Reg

During the inspections the cracks, Popouts and Puchouts were observed. Cracks have formed
along joints of panels, with initial phase of spalling. The cracks intersects the joints at an
angle and travels parallel to it. Such defects have been observed at following locations:-

In case these defects are not attended and rectified timely, these defects may expand and
cause unnecessary increased maintenance cost and reduced pavement life.

Accordingly you are hereby directed to submit cracks repair methodology as per Table 4.5 of
IRC SP 83 2008 “Maintenance and Repair of Concrete Road” so as the rectification works may
commenced at earliest after review of the proposed methodology
