NOTIFICATION

NO.SO(DC)1 0-31 6/1 7(P)(NOTIFICATION). In suppression of the previous

transfer/posting policy issued by P&SHD on 03rd November, 2017, the Competent
Authority is pleased to approve the policy regarding transfer/posting for Dental
Surgeons/Senior Dental Surgeons/Principal Dental Surgeons, working at health facilities
under the administrative control of this Department, as under :-

1. FROM P&SH DEPARTMENT TO SH&ME DEPARTMENT

The incumbent shall have at least three years of service at RHC, THQ or
DHQ (Non-Teaching) under the administrative control of Primary &
Secondary Healthcare Department.

NOC issued by SH&ME Department shall be pre-requisite for transfer to

SH&ME Department.

2. INTRA-DEPARTMENTAL MOVEMENT

At least one year of service at current place of posting shall be required

to be transferred to any other health facility within P&SH Department.

All Dental Surgeons will be eligible for transfer/posting in District Lahore

after serving for a period of three years at RHC, THQ and DHQ Hospitals
(Non-Teaching) in other districts of Punjab

3. QUALIFICATION IMPROVEMENT

All those Dental Surgeons/Senior Dental Surgeons/Principal Dental

Surgeons who have served at least two years at RHC, THQ or DHQ
Hospitals (Non-Teaching) may be allowed to join their Postgraduate
Training (in different relevant specialties) and for this purpose, they shall
be repatriated to their parent department i.e. SH&ME Department for
further adjustment as per policy in vogue.

ii. Those Dental Surgeons/Senior Dental Surgeons/Principal Dental

Surgeons who have not served at RHC, THQ and DHQ Hospitals
(Non-Teaching) for two years will be considered for grant of EOL
• (without pay) as per provisions of Revised Leave Rules, 1981 to pursue
Post Graduate Training.

4. POLICY REGARDING NEWLY RECRUITED DENTAL SURGEONS (2018)

New recruitment of Dental Surgeon will be made by the SH&ME

Department being a parent Department and after recruiting the services of
Dental Surgeons will be placed at the disposal of P&SHD for further
posting at RHO, THQ, DHQ (Non-Teaching).

All Dental Surgeons will be posted at RHO, THQ, DHQ (Non-Teaching) as

per their preferences purely in order of merit.

All Dental Surgeons will be eligible for transfer after serving three years at
RHO, THQ, DHQ (Non-Teaching) and their transfer will be made in line
with para 1 & 2 of this policy.

For proceeding to qualification & improvement para 3 of this policy will be

followed.

5. OTHERS

Mutual transfer/posting may be exempted from above narrated policy and

would be dealt in on case to case basis.
