[1]Researcher: Do you find starting a business during pandemic difficult? Why?

[2] R9: Yes, because fewer tourists or people visits Cambriza.

[3] Researcher: What are the challenges you have encountered in starting a business amidst the
pandemic?

[4]R9: This pandemic gives me a lot of challenges. Especially in paying my co-workers, payment on
electricity and water bills. And the additional problem of less people of visits the resort.

[5] Researcher: Among the challenges you had encountered, what is the most difficult one? And why?

[6]R9: Less people who visits the resort. When people come visit and rent a room for a long time this is a
great opportunity for us to receive a payment for our service.

[7] Researcher: What typical strategies did you apply with the challenges you had faced?

[8R9: This may help us from saving money. And to conserve water and electricity. In dividing the days
when workers will have their duties. It will help me in holding the money and to less the expenses.

[9] Researcher: How does the strategies you applied help you to surpass the challenges you had
encountered?

[10] R9: In that way we can save money. Less expenses.

[11] Researcher: How do you find the challenges that you encountered?

[12] R9: I found it hard.

[13] Researcher: What values and principles have you ever applied to yourself to handle the challenges?

[14] R9: First I trust on God to help me think of ways that will help us in business. Think positive, don't
lose hope. And always be kind.

[15] Researcher: How did you manage to control the situation in your hand by your own principle in
facing the challenges?

[16] R9: As of now there are 4 engineer staying in Cambriza. This is a good start of our business during
pandemic. As we give them services there's an exchange not just the money but this pandemic gives us
friendship.

[17] Researcher: What was the hardest challenge you've experienced in business that gives you the best
lesson?

[18] R9: Upon hearing from the engineers that they're going back to Manila. So this means we will not
give them services, we don't have work anymore and will ended up closing the resort. But then God is
good all the time. The engineers will not coming back to Manila for now. This gives me the lesson not to
lose hope and always trust in God.

[19]Researcher: What learnings can you share to the people having a business?
[20]R9: I would like to share my learnings to them that in every problem there's a solution that we need
to find. And in able to overcome those problem focus on it and find ways to fix it. Never lose hope it is
normal, we all experienced ups and downs in our life. Trust in God he will help us in our problem,
through our prayers.

[21] Researcher: How did you apply those learnings on your business?

[22] R9: I'll make sure that me, myself will always find the key to solve the problem and not to do the
mistakes I've done.

[23]Researcher: What could be the great idea you think can help other business.

[24] R9: If you want to start your business during pandemic think of it. If that will make people
interested in it.

[25]Researcher: What could be your designed plan to improve the operations of the business during the
pandemic?

[26]R9: I'm planning to change some of the structures in every room because some part of it are slowly
damaged. We need to fix some problem to. Because the tourism slowly going back to normal. So, we will
ready the suite for that day to come.

[1] Researcher: Do you find starting a business during pandemic difficult? Why?

[2] R10: Yes, it's because people nowadays people chose to credit what they want to have because they
don't have money to buy for it.

[3] Researcher: What are the challenges you have encountered in starting a business amidst the
pandemic?

[4]R10: Transportation and the shipment fees are too expensive.

[5] Researcher: Among the challenges you had encountered, what is the most difficult one? And why?

[6]R10: When people credit the product they used. When this happen, I don't have a capital to buy new
products to be sold.

[7] Researcher: What typical strategies did you apply with the challenges you had faced?

[8]R10: You must think of products that is trendy during pandemic. Such as foods, even though it's
difficult to find money people will always find food to eat. And instead they will go to our house, we will
be the one to send it to them. House to house. Social media also helps us to inform people what we sell.
By posting that food we sell.

[9] Researcher: How does the strategies you applied help you to surpass the challenges you had
encountered?
[10] R10: As people find it interesting they just contact us if they want to order food. And this helps our
business to grow.

[11] Researcher: How do you find the challenges that you encountered?

[12] R10: I find it hard.

[13] Researcher: What values and principles have you ever applied to yourself to handle the challenges?

[14] R10: Number for me is patience. In business you need to face positive and negative people. They
look down on your business. But instead of listening to their negative comments take that as a
motivation to work harder.

[15] Researcher: How did you manage to control the situation in your hand by your own principle in
facing the challenges?

[16] R10: You really need patience.

[17] Researcher: What was the hardest challenge you've experienced in business that gives you the best
lesson?

[18] R10: Upon hearing their negative comments is the hardest challenge for me. I want to be mad but
this won't help me in my business. Instead I work harder and think positive only that I will be successful
in my business.

[20] R10: Daily transaction.

[21] Researcher: What could be the great idea you think can help other business personnel to solve the
challenges?

[22] R10: Patience and think of ideas that people are in to. Then think positive in your business. It will be
successful. We may go through ups and down but in the end we will be successful.

pandemic?

[24]R10: I want to have a group page for my business. Where people can invite their Facebook friends to
be in my group page. They can send me private message and their location the orders to be delivered.
