Subject: Report about the issues students face in online classes setup.

This letter is to inform you about the issues students are facing in online classes setup and how
tempting it is for students to cope with all this situation. Students look forward to you for the
solution of major hindrances.

Students are facing up to different stumbling blocks during the conduction of online education,
due to the emerging situation we have to acquire this medium for learning but the major issues
that we are facing must be solved. Some of the problems are: Online testing is sometimes based
on the principle of “work it out yourself”. Students are not acquiring real, long-lasting
knowledge. Lack of Interaction, discussion and group study among students. Some teachers only
share material to students without teaching it. Some Teachers record their lectures and post them,
hence no queries are answered. Some students don’t even have proper electronic equipment to
attend online classes. The number of these devices in households is often limited.

We do understand that this pandemic is real and it is hard for all human beings equally
accordingly. Everyone must be sympathetic and flexible enough to cooperate in these times of
crises. Online Learning is a challenge and it needs different expectations of outcome as it can’t
bring forth results as On campus learning did. So we appeal to kindly consider these issues and
help us to go this time with cooperation of Faculty and University’s Administration.

Systemic solutions from the University’s Administration should develop a well-designed

platform with a specific given curriculum, as well as a fair and effective way of assessment.
Students should not be assessed with numerical grades rather descriptively. As the situation
evolves, a more purposeful approach is definitely required, by including representatives from
multiple areas in evaluating and sharing their experiences about what worked well and what
didn’t. It should consider the problems and solutions faced by students, parents and teachers.
