Types of Hazard

1. Chemical - chlorine gas or hydrochloric,


gasoline fumes
2. Electrical - shock; burn, thermal burn,
or blast injury.
3. Ergonomic - Poor workplace design,
awkward body mechanics or postures,
repetitive movements, trauma disorders
(CTD) affect hands, wrists, elbows, arms,
shoulders, the lower back, and the cervical
spine area.
4. Psychological - type of hazard relates
to mental health and behavioural disorders,
depression, anxiety, stress etc…
5. Radiation – lasers, x-ray
6. Biological - pollen, fungi, animals,
insects, bacteria and viruses
7. Physical – Fire, Explosion, Chemical
Reactivity
