But as journalists for various news outlets representing diferent audiences and portions ofthe state, cur job informing New Yorkers is at a eritical juncture. ‘We request that your administration adopt a similar approach to questions as New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, where a variety of reporters are selected for questions and news outiets are guaranteed at east one question a week ‘Among our requests is that you allow reporters to st one follow up question on your Zoom press conferences as they continue; consider equity among reporters ‘selected for questions that takes into account diversity in race and ethnicity, gender and ‘age; and release a public schedule for appearances at least two hours ahead of time. at We trust that you, as a supporter ofthe ree press, wll recognize that our requests are reasonable and acknowledge our concems as the primary organization of reporters responsible for transmiting information on this historic pandemic to the publ.
