Valentine’s ball extravaganza

By Cacho, Janet and Jarabata, Anne Kyoko

The AMA Basic Education of Las Piñas held the annual valentine's Ball at Royal Estate last
February 14, 2020. With a very exquisite theme this year, everything seems like the 80's and
90's. Simply to say, the AMA Basic Education goes retro.

The students and teachers channel their stylish taste

dating back from 80's and the 90's. From the ravishing
suspenders to the grunge high wasted dreams to impress
the secret judges that will crown king and Queen of the
night with the best retro styles. As the start of event the
junior and senior high students performed a blast from the
past dance performance with retro music and dance
moves. All the students, teachers and the school's staff
members appeared to be happy taking pictures and
videos of the marvelous event. And that is just the
beginning.

Afterwards, the band started to perform having

everyone at their feet dancing and singing with
their fellow classmates and teachers. It was like
the last day on earth as to how everyone partied
and enjoyed. Mainly because the theme was
uniquely well thought off and had everyone appreciate the beauty and style of the 80's and 90's
era.

The band successfully performed every song genre

there is of the 80's and the 90's. The evidence of their
success were students dancing on the dancefloor
with unmeasurable joy and of course, the students
dancing with their loved ones on the dancefloor when
the sweet melodies of love songs were performed.

After the energetic fuzz on the dancefloor, students

as well as teachers were famished as their energy
were drained from all the fun. Which meant it was
time to enjoy the mouth-watering cuisines provided
the caterers. And one’s everyone hunger were taken
care off, it was time of boogie again!

At the end of the night, the judges choose the five

girls and boys to compete for the title King and
Queen of the night. Having each of them introduce
themselves and make the dancefloor their
runaway. And finally, they choose their winners.
The king and Queen whom carried their 80's and
90's look not just by wearing the clothes but
carrying the retro energy the entire night. And they
were, Winrich Areglado from Abzan of the 11th
grade and May Diaz Tumandao from Izzet of the
11th grade. And the event ends with pictures and
videos taken to be saved as precious memories
from unforgettable night.
