1.DRAW AND GUESS/DRAW IT SLOWLY (T sends a private message to a S; the S draws on the virtual
whiteboard, the other SS guess)
2.MIME (same as Draw and Guess, but SS mime the item in front of their cameras)
4. NOUGHTS AND CROSSES (X and O) -> you can create a table in a word document to play it with the SS
5. WORD WRITING RACE (1v1, T or a S describes or shows a FC, the 1 st one who writes the correct word
in the CHAT section gets the point)
7. ODD ONE OUT (we can use the CAMBRDIGE speaking tests for this one, or you can show them
different FCs or write a set of words which contains an odd one and SS have to say which one is and
why)
8. WORDS CHAIN (write a word in the CHAT section, the next S has to write another one starting with
the last letter of the previous one)
9. JIGSAW PUZZLE (a table with 2 columns; one column contains the 1 st half of the words, and the 2nd
one contains the other half; SS have to match them accordingly using the ANNOTATE function; they can
take turns to do so)
11. I SAY YOU DO/YOU SAY I DO (good for brain breaks; T says an action, SS do it, then the other way
around) also SIMON SAYS
12. PICK AND WRITE/LABEL IT (SS are shown a random FC, they write the correct word in the
CHAT/VIRTUAL WHITEBOARD/SCREEN SHARED WORD DOCUMENT)
13. VOCABULARY LADDERS (3 topics, e.g. TOYS, JOBS, SPORTS; 1v1 SS are told to write a word for a
specific category, the 1st one who writes it in the chat section gets the point; they can’t use already
written words)
14. FIND SOMETHING... (SS find something in their own houses according to what the T told them)
15. LIP READING (T silently says a word, SS lip read it and say it out loud)
16. BINGO/SNAP (the usual way, SS write the words/draw the items on a piece of paper)
17. SLOW REVEAL (can be used with the PDF Flashcards or with the real ones)
18. TEST YOUR MEMORY (SS are shown several FCs/words, they’ve got some time to memorise them
and then write as many as they remember; SS write in their personal Google Document)
20. ACT OUT THE STORY (it should work in an online lesson as well)
21. FIRST LETTER (T writes the first letter of a word from a specific category, the SS say the word/write
the word in the CHAT section)
22. DEFINITIONS RACE (good for a speaking activity; a S describes a FC or a word for his/her team to
guess)
23. STAND IN ORDER (each S is privately assigned a FC/word etc., when they hear their item being
mentioned they stand up)
