DISCUSSION EXERCISE

Zheng et al. (2019) report the findings of half-scale physical model

tests on geosynthetic reinforced soil (GRS) bridge abutments.
Review the journal article, placing emphasis on the objectives of the
study and the methodology used to address those objectives.

For each of the four conclusions:

- report the evidence presented in support of the claim

- list the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence
- comment on whether, in your opinion, the evidence presented
is sufficient to warrant each conclusion.
