The Looking Glass by Cameron Francis

The only requirement besides ‘The Light’ is a blank faced card on top
of the deck.

Talk about how the lighter can be used as a "shiner" in a game of

poker. Give an example. Then say that you have to be careful,
though, as any mirror can have strange magical properties if not used
properly.

Offer to demonstrate. Cu the deck and hold a break. Riffle force and
double turnover. Have the spec sign the card. Turn the double face
down and lift off the top card only – the blank faced card.

Place the lighter on the spectator's out stretched hand. Have them
take what they believe to be their card, face down with the other hand
and quickly wave it in a circular motion over the lighter. Make sure the
spectator does this quickly. This is so that they never get a good look
at the image of the card in the lighter.

As they are doing this, palm off the selection and MF it in your hand.
Put the deck down and casually place your hands in your pockets.

Tell them to start to slow the waving down and have them look
carefully at the lighter. Eventually tell them to stop and stare at the
card's reflection in the lighter. Of course, they will see nothing.

Have the spectator turn the card over to reveal that the image is
gone. Take the lighter back and inform them that the card literally
went ‘through the looking glass’.

Reveal the signed card inside the lighter.
