The following list represents corrections that have been made in the Second Printing of
the 2010 AISC Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings.

9.1-xxxviii In the 13th line from bottom of page, insert the missing “α” before the
definition as follows:

α Angle of the shortest center-to-center lines in the opening array

to vertical, degrees

9.1-5 In Section A3.3, the minimum Charpy V-notch toughness should be for
flanges that are greater than 1½ in. thick, rather than ½ in. thick as stated.
That is, the first sentence of the section should read, “For structural steel
in the SFRS, in addition to the requirements of Specification Section
A3.1c, hot rolled shapes with flanges 1½ in. thick (38 mm) and thicker
shall have a minimum Charpy V-notch toughness of 20 ft-lb (27 J) at 70
°F (21 °C)…”

9.1-46 In the 13th line from the top of the page, before the last symbol definition,
insert the missing “α” at the beginning of the line as follows:

α = angle of diagonal members with the horizontal, degrees

9.1-58 In Section F3.4a, insert missing “Δ” at the end of the first sentence as
follows:

The link rotation angle is the inelastic angle between the link and the
beam outside of the link when the total story drift is equal to the design
story drift, Δ.

9.1-200 In the 1st full paragraph, 4th line, insert “Δ” in “P-Δ effects”.
