- The Holdfast holes along the back side of 18"
the bench are intended to hold battens for
planing stops. They line up offset from the
line of Bench Dog holes on the front side.
- The middle hole is intended for clamping a
shooting board or bench hook.
- The front holes are spaced to secure our
Dovetail Vise, and can be used to hold
material when chopping dovetails or mortises.
- Add new holes as needed. We recommend
Wood Owl Auger Bits for drilling holes.
