Fourth Grade Achievers February 8st-12th Week 32

What We Are Learning


Math: This week we will continue working on division using different strategies to
solve three digit numbers.

Science: This week we will finish working on our current chapter about Matter. The
students will engage with a fun experiment on Wednesday, with their topic 3
assessment on Friday 2/12.

Social Studies: This week students will be identifying how Florida became a state
after a hundred years.

Reading: This week are reading “Earthquakes” we will focus on identifying key details
and looking at sequence of events. We will also be focusing on comparing and
contrasting different information in our text.

Writing: This week we are writing an essay on how caribou survive in the cold weather.
We are working on citing information from sources provided, and adding elaboration
to our essay.

FSA PREP: We will begin offering math and fsa prep on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
3:30PM-4PM. One day they will be working with Mrs. Lemieux on math skills and the
other day will be for ELA: Writing & Reading skills.
