Problem found. There are too many glass windows throughout the school.

If in the

cases that we have bad weather in our area, any object could come crashing into any of

the windows. This will cause the windows to shatter and if a student is nearby, it could

possibly cause severe physical harm to them. The pieces of the glass window could cut

the person.

This problem is specifically found in the cyber-cafeteria. There are a lot of glass

windows in the cyber cafeteria. The reason why this is important is because that is a

possible risk to the people inside the school which obviously isn’t wanted. What will be

done to fix this problem is to replace the windows and fill in the holes with more cement

and bricks. Materials that will be needed for this are Cement blocks, Cement, Platforms,

Spatula tools, Glass removers (blades, hammers) Vacuum to pick up glass. The staff

needed for this are Architects to write blueprints, Glass remover crew, Construction

crew, and Disposal crew. This project will take at least a week to be renewed and

finished and will cost an estimate of 7,500 dollars. To think and understand the problem

it is best to talk and work with people that have experience with the problem your

having. Finding out what all was needed for to fix the problem took lots of time and

brainstorming. Brainstorming is a must when dealing with a problem as everything will

be more organized. There is rules to brainstorming to make sure you make or come up

with great solutions. The rules for brainstorming are quality over quantity. Quantity over

quantity means as one should prefer, someone would rather have few solid solutions

over lots of bad solutions. ‘Wild ideas are welcome which means you can always make

a bad idea into a good idea that can be used as well. ‘Hitchhiking is included’ which

means your continuing off somebody else’s idea making it a better idea. “Criticizing isn’t
included ‘which means like you can’t criticize some else’s idea because it’s better to

make something out of it so you can get another idea. ‘There’s many methods for

brainstorming a problem like the SCAMPER method, card method, writing slip method.

Whatever gives you the best idea for a solution is good. In my opinion it’s best to find

multiple solutions and to choose one to use for your problem that way you have backup

plans if your first or second ‘solution ‘don’t work. When testing your solutions and you or

your group come down to one solution that fixes the problem in the best way you get to

start testing and trying your solutions. When testing your solutions, you always need a

plan b. If or when your modifying your prototype and you’re ready to present that’s your

actual finished product and solution.
