The Realist Ethnography

Realist Ethnography, commonly used by cultural anthropologists. The cultural is


about life, work life and social networks. Realist ethnography is the type of Ethnography
research design. Realist ethnography is one of objective research, which has relation with the
situation, and generally written by third person point of view. The meaning of third person
point of view is the person who does not take side and report he or she point of view.
Commonly, The realist ethnographer does not make personal reflections in the research
report and keep being reporter who always know about the fact. In realist ethnography, the
researcher does not report an objective data in a measured form which uncontaminated by
political goals and judgement.

The Critical Ethnography

Critical Ethnography is type of ethnography research which is the researcher


interesting to espouse the emancipation of groups marginalized in society. Through critical
ethnography, the researcher or an individu who has polical mind, make an advocation and
against inequality and domination. In critical ethnography, the researcher write the research
as the marginalized groups. The researcher has a big tolerance and pay attention between
each other. The aim for critical ethnography is to improve the marginalized gropus.

The difference between The Realist Ethnography and The Critical Ethnography.

In critical ethnography, there is not objective researcher such in Realist Ethnography.


In Realist Ethnography. The researcher write the report using third person point of view.
In critical, the researcher write the report using an advocation to the subject of the research.
