Laboratory Exercise

Materials

1 set of U/L edentulous master cast

1 sheath light-curing acrylic resin
Separating medium
Self-curing acrylic resin (polymer and monomer)
Large Dappen dish
Metal cement spatula
Wax carver
Micromotor
Light cure
Acrylic trimmers
Pumice
Dental cloth wheel

Instructions
1. Outline the denture base on the upper master cast
2. Mix the polymer and monomer at 3:1 ratio
3. Apply separating medium on denture bearing area
4. Adapt the acrylic dough on the cast
5. Remove excess based on the denture base outline
6. Allow complete polymerization
7. Trim the excess
8. Polish with pumice and cloth wheel
9. Repeat the same procedure for lower arch but use light curing acrylic instead.
