Questions :

1. Which of the mixtures would be the most suitable for pouring models/ casts and
why?

For dental plaster

- 25/20 ratio is the most ideal. The consistency is smooth and not to
watery which makes it much stronger.

For Dental stone

- 15/50 is the suitable mixture because it will flow and give off an
accurate copy.

For die stone

- The most suitable mixture for pouring cast is the 15/50 ratio because
when the consistency is runny and has a creamy texture, it is much
easier for the impression of the cast to mold and distribute to some
parts and it can make less bubble after it sets.

2. Describe the correct procedure for mixing gypsum.

- Always place water in bowl first, then add powder to water slowly and
evenly.
