Good morning my name leonardo ojito in this space I will talk about the cerrejon

Company

I chose this company because mining is a primary source of contamination, an example

of this is the storage, transportation and loading of coal in seaports that involve the use

of conveyor belts and shovels to control mineral coal from the hoppers to barges and

from there to cargo ships, during this process the coal is exposed to the open air, causing

particles of this mineral to be dumped into the sea by the wind, contaminating large

coastal marine areas.

A possible solution to mitigate the impacts caused to the environment, could be to

improve its access channels and port facilities avoiding direct loading, in addition to

constantly monitoring marine life avoiding its imbalance, since coal dust is a resistant

material and solid.
