Chemcon “CVP” Type Pneumatic Valve Positioner is a single
acting single force-balance type control device. Side mounted
on a pneumatic process control valve,it utilize an auxaliary air supply and a feedback cam to position the control valve in accordance with the air signal from a controller. Utilizing the force-balance principle the positioner feeds or bleeds air to the valve actuator unit the force or the controller signal is in balance with the force created by valve steam movement on a feedback cam. Single acting, single stage modular construction result in low maintenance and repair cost. Complicated linkages are eliminated in the positioner lever. Cam actuated feed back design. Air ports are large and self cleaning. Rugged light weight housing and pilot assembly. Special ball and sleeve bearings are utilized on critical wear surfaces. Chemcon positioner is a side mounted type and is compatible with all sizes of actuators. Mounting arrangement makes a compact actuator positioner combination. “CHEMCON” Positioner action is quickly changed from direct to reverse or vice versa on both Top loading or bottom loading actuators, by rotating the pilot asembly and / or reverseing cam. No additional part necessary. Start Point is easily adjustable by rotating a knurled spring adjusting nut. The positioner can be used with any actuator stroke from 12 to 100 mm with no additional part required. Travels to 6 mm is also available. Three interchange cams.all included with each unit astandard. provide three different characteristics. Linear cam is standard, the other two cams provided necessary valve characteristic for special process requirments. Std.1.4 kg /cm2 – max. 3.5kg/cm2. 0.2 to1.0 kg/cm 2. is standard.0.2 to 0.6, 0.6 to 1.0, 0.4 to 2.0 kg/cm2 also available. The positioner is available with gauges only or with by pass gauges. The by pass and gauges assembly is easily installed with four screws and is mouned to allow quick removal of the positioner without disconnecting air tubing or disrurting valve services. Temp-300 to + 800 C, Air Consumption : 7N/ min, (normal) Linearity. Under 1% of span, Hystersis error – under :1% of span. Band : Under 0.1 % of span. Strock speed :10 mm/sec.
