Overview
The Bee Winkler Weinstein Fund benefits lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer women as well
as non-binary and gender nonconforming individuals, ages 16-26, whose families have withdrawn
emotional and/or financial support because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Fund
is not designed for individuals who identify as men. The Fund aims to remove obstacles and facilitate
choice and advancement for those experiencing crisis by providing grants for individual needs.
Grants range from $25 to $650. Expenses that may be covered by Bee's Fund include, but are not
limited to:
• high school equivalency tutoring and tests
• clothing for job interviews
• work uniforms
• legal name and gender marker changes
• immigration-related fees
• fees for technical or vocations programs
• books and supplies for technical or vocational programs
• college application expenses
The Fund does not pay for college or accept applications from people with bachelor's degrees.
How to Apply
Complete the application on the following pages to tell us about yourself and the needs for which
you are requesting assistance. Because we need documentation to verify requested funding
amounts, please attach copies of bills, invoices, or screenshots that clearly capture pricing, e.g.,
web ads, shopping carts, or emails from billing departments.
You must identify an agency, school, or other appropriate 501(c)(3) charitable organization willing
to accept a payment from Bee's Fund on your behalf.

Before beginning the application, please check the following criteria to confirm your eligibility.
I am between ages 16 and 26.
I do not hold a bachelor's degree.
I have the support of a 501(c)(3) organization that can accept the grant on my behalf.

Please note that Bee’s Fund microgrants are intended to support people who do not identify as

Fund is accurate and truthful. I give the Bee's Fund committee and Stonewall Community Foundation
permission to verify all information included on this form and in the attached materials. Inaccurate or
misleading information will result in forfeit of grant.
