1. In process inspection during Production

2. Inspection after Goods Receipt for Production order

In process inspection during Production:

During production it is required to check the product at once or at regular intervals like for every one
hour or after producing certain qty like 100 KG or after changing the equipment part etc.. for this In
process inspection during Production functionality is used..

we will see the settings needed for this…

First activate Inspection type 03 in material master in Quality management view as shown below….

Now go to routing and select the operation for which inspection is done and click on the
button Inspection characteristics
Now assign the Master Inspection Characteristics as shown below 

Now save the routing…

Now create Production order for material as shown below..


Now save the order

Now release the Production order.. during release system will generate the inspection lot as shown
below…..
Now for this inspection lot you can carry out Results recording and Usage decision….there is no
stock posting in this case…

If it is required to carry out inspection at some regular intervals check the below document for the

In process inspection in Production at regular intervals


Inspection after Goods Receipt for Production order :

It is required to check the product after completion of production process. for this inspection at GR
for production order functionality is used…

Activation of Inspection Type 04 in the quality management view in the material master of the Material
(mm02) as shown below…
Now do the goods receipt for the Production Order through MB31…
Now check in mmbe.. Stock will be in quality inspection and inspection lot is generated….
check for the inspection lot as shown below in QA32…
