Kulay Kabataan: A Proposed Youth Rehabilitation
Center through Arts
By: Corpuz, Gabriel

A proposed youth rehabilitation center through arts with the

philosophy “Design that speaks identity” is an interesting idea, that is my
first thought and when I saw Mr. Corpuz’s tarpaulin I was amazed and it
made me confused so I decided to make him my first to watch. When I
enter the classroom for Mr. Copuz thesis deliveration I saw many people.
The panels are Ar. Corazon, Ar. Sta. Juana and the other panel that I didn’t
recognite. As a first year student I was amazed in almost everything he
says and presents. It is my first time to watch something like that, An
architecture student presenting a proposed idea of them my heart is
pumping with excitement and my brain is filling up with knowledge in just
listening to it.

He’s deliberation is good, he’s walkthrough is perfect and he looks very

well prepared. After he’s presentation I found myself clapping and smiling
and then the next part of the deliberation comes which is the question and
answer. Panels said that they were also amazed by the presentation and
preparation and ask about the connection of his form in the structure and
philosophy and title that makes Mr. Corpuz a bit confused. There are other
questions too like, Who is the users and how are they going to use it, why
did he chose butterfly instead of a bee or a bug which he still manage to
answer. But he got questioned too about his design and its process as the
panel said “since it’s a rehabilitation center it should have a process”. In
overall for me the presentation is perfect but the propose project is almost
perfect and I think the problem was he didn’t able to consider other things
like the behaviour of a youth but all in all congrats to Mr. Corpuz.
Dynamicon: Central Exploratorium and Interactive Park
Complex
By: Divinoto, Eloisa Grace

My second choice is The Dynamicon: Central Exploratorium and

Interactive Park Complex by Ms. Divinoto. The deliberation was held in
room 206 B which is a small narrow room and the panels are Ar. Martinez,
Ar. Danilo and the other panel that I didn’t recognize. Before the
deliberation many students are already in the room, it is a small room so it
cant hold many as much like in the other room so I was one of the lucky
students who is able to watch her presentation. When the other years are
preparing the Illustration for Ms. Divinito’s presentation I notice that she is
nervous but very confident, she is laughing and still smiling. After a minute
the panels and Ms. Divinoto is ready so the presentation begins.

She confidently start her presentation with her philosophy which is “

In every darkness, there is always a beauty that will shine at its brightest”
and she mention “stars and mood cant shine without darkness. There is a
beauty at its normal and existence and more beautiful in its contrast.
Sometimes we needed the dark in order to appreciate everything that
shines” and that was very beautiful. Everything she says was connected to
ther proposed building, I can feel she wrote it form her heart. She also said
that she wants her building to light in the dark so she puts the light which
she said “the light as knowledge” and indicate the words “beauty and
appearance”. She deliver it so well, every word is clear and the
walkthrough is perfectly amazing. As Ar. Martinez said “Dinala mo kami sa
loob na parang nandun talaga kami” the panels said that Ms. Divinoto
exceed in their expectations. The Question and answer got Ms. Divinito
very well answered and the panels are happy that she was able to consider
the important things. And as for me I am very happy that I was able to
listen to her and watch her speak and presents, she gives me more that
knowledge which is inspiration. I admire how she does everything and I
appreciate every words she speak.

Philippine Vertical Cemetery

By: Mendoza, Michelle Anne Margarette

The Philippine Vertical Cemetery By: Ms. Mendoza is a proposed

high rise building cemetery. For me this is very useful for now and for the
future here in the Philippines so I decided to listen to her presentation. The
panels are Ar. Danilo and other two that I didnt able to recognize. She
delivered and presented it well and organize since it has many floor she still
manage to present it organize.

After the presentation the question and answer is the tough part. She
was able to answer some of it but not all of it. Like how many users and
and she was questioned by Ar. Danilo about the foundation of her building
since it’s a high rise that she did not able to defend. For me the idea is thee
the proposal is very unique and helpful it was perfect but the data she need
to gather more data and need to consider everything. I learn so much about
her project and I hope that this Vertical Cemetery will rise in the future.
