Dear Louisian Graduating Students,

Among the many things that have drastically changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic is the
shift in the usual and traditional methods used in the workforce. If there is one thing that people should
learn from this “new normal”, it is indeed the idea of preparedness to adapt to an altered recruitment process
and working environments.

In this light, the Guidance Center will hold It’s A Match: A Virtual Career Talk this November
23, 2020 to December 4, 2020. The goal of this virtual lecture is to equip you, graduating students of
January 2021, with more useful knowledge and practical information in your preparation for the world of
work in the “new normal”. Specifically, this talk shall focus on providing you with virtual job application
and interview tips and most importantly, arming you with employability skills so as to adapt to the “new
normal”. With this kind of Career Talk, we hope to empower you with skills beyond the demands of the
current crisis.
