4.Keep your camera ‘ON’ throughout the examination.
5.You are not allowed to switch it off on any case without the prior approval of the
competent authority.
6.Read thoroughly before attempting the questions for answer.
7.Legible handwriting is appreciated. Scan and upload all the pages in one copy so that it helps the
examiner to correct at a stretch all the pages.
8.This question paper contains two parts A and B.
9.Each part is compulsory.
Part-A carries 12 marks and Part B carries28 marks
Part-A has Objective Type Questions and
Part -B has Descriptive TypeQuestions
Both Part A and Part B have choices.
Part – A
1. It consists of two sections- I and II.
2. Section I comprises 16 very short answer type questions.
3. Section II contains 2 case studies.
Each case study comprises 5 case-based MCQs.
An examinee is to attempt any 4 MCQs.

2. Section III comprises 10 questions of 2 marks each.
3. Section IV comprises 7 questions of 3 marks each.
4. Section V comprises 3 questions of 5 marks each.

A student wishes to learn about the tangent and normal to the curve. His teacher explained to
him the tangent to the curve at a point , this point is called the point of contact. The teacher further
adds that if we draw a line perpendicular to the tangent at the point of contact the line is called the
normal to the curve.
Using derivative answer to the following with reference to the curve f(x) = (x-3) 2
