ˆ There are 5 questions in this open-book exam. The last question is categorized as a
Project.

ˆ You have 2 hours to complete this open-book exam. In addition, you have 30 minutes to
compile your answers in a PDF document and send it through email to your instructor.

ˆ The PDF document of your solutions should be sent by REPLYING TO the email of
your instructor by which you receive this exam.

2. (CLO 2) The impulse response h(t) of an LTI system is given below. State the relation-
ship of the output y(t) of this LTI system and its input x(t). Also find the expression

the Excel file that has been sent to you in the same email. The signal x(t) is a multi-
component signal. By using the spectrum, identify the frequencies of the sinusoidal
components contained in x(t). You may use MATLAB for this purpose. If you use
MATLAB, include a plot of the spectrum in your answer. Your answer should also
clearly state the steps you have taken to find the spectrum. You may assume the
sampling interval to be 1/1000 seconds. (10 marks)
