Clinical Manifestation
Abdominal distention and gas to severe pain and cramps.

Palpatory Findings, i.e.reflex areas


a. Affected area (Oketsu)
b. Pressure pain at the reflection of the Heart.
c. pressure pain at C12, the front mu point of the stomach.
d. Pressure pain on the inguinal ligament, from the ASIS to the
pubic bone.

Pulse Findings
a. Absence of sufficient Stomach Qi, the pulse will feel
like “the pecking of a small bird”. This feeling of the pulse is
characterized as going up and down without the natural movement
of
the blood in the vesel.
b. Presence of an abnormal pulse for the season. The
presence of of stomach Qi of a mild quality.

To tonify Stomach Qi or Restore the pulse

Treatment Plan
Diagnosis of left ST26, left ST27, and left KD15.
Front treatments: left LR4 and LU5. Supporting points: bilateral
immune, ST Qi line the left before right, left LR11 and LR12, and
left
outside ST30.
Back treatments: right BL17, bilateral HTJ T7, and left BL35.

Patient Education/Recommendations
Bowel elimination is directly related to the type and quality of food
and fluid ingested. A high fiber diet is a mainstay of most bowel
training programs and includes whole-grain foods, bran, and fresh
and
dried fruits. Increasing dietary fiber is effective in facilitating
defecation only if the patient reduce fat intake. Drinking plenty of
fluids also helps with bowel elimination.

Prognosis
Constipation is a common complication of bowel training program.
Asses
for this complication of any bowel training program accordingly in
collaboration with the physician and the dietitian.
