GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

DOCUMENT

The document should be named as follows: Name Surname - Title_of_the_Text.

The document size should be A4, and saved as a Word format document (.doc or .docx)
or in a .rtf format.

CONTENT OF THE ARTICLE


The articles should contain the following:
 Title of the article (in Uppercase)
 Introduction
 Body of the paper
 Conclusion
 Works cited
 Title and abstract in English (150-200 words)
 List of key words (5-7) in English

TEXT
For your text use the font Times New Roman (12pt) with the adequate language input,
and line spacing: 1.5. The size of the paper should contain between 15000 and 25000
characters.

CITATIONS AND LIST OF REFERENCES


References should conform to the MLA (Modern Language Association) style (MLA
Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th ed. (2009)).
According to the MLA Style sources are cited in the text, in parenthesis, as follows:
Format: (Author Last Name Page #)
Example: (Feteris 31)

Citations in the text must agree exactly with the list of references. All sources that appear
in the one place must appear in the other. The reference list should only include works
that are cited in the text.

If the author is included more than once on the Works Cited page, the following form
should be used
Format: (Author Last Name, "Title Fragment" Page #) or (Author Last Name, Title
Fragment Page #)
Example: (Sokal, "Transgressing the Boundaries" 220) or (Sokal, Beyond the Hoax 305)

If the title is italicized on the Works Cited page, then the title fragment should be
italicized in the parenthetical reference; if the title is put between quotation marks on
the Works Cited page, then it should also be is put between quotation marks in the
parenthetical reference.

If a paragraph includes several quotations from a single source, the following form
should be used:
Format: (Author Last Name Page # of the first quotation, Page # of the second quotation)
Example: (Read 55, 28)

If the text has more than one named author, the following form should be used:

Two Authors
Format: (First Author Last Name and Second Author Last Name Page #)
Example: (Cohen and Nagel 3)

Three Authors
Format: (First Author Last Name, Second Author Last Name, and Third Author Last Name
Page #)
Example: (Booth, Colomb and Williams 14)

More than Three Authors


Format: (First Author Last Name et al. Page #)
Example: (Hodges et al. 406)

List of references (works cited)


The reference list, ordered alphabetically, should only include works that are cited in the
text.

The entries in the Works cited page should follow the following form:
Book by one author
Format:
Author Last, First. Title. Location of Publisher: Publisher, Year of Publication. Print.

Footnotes (not endnotes) may be used for explanatory (not documentary) purposes.

QUOTATIONS
Short quotations (fewer than four lines) should be enclosed within double quotation
marks.
Quotations longer than four lines should be placed in a free-standing block of text; in that
case, quotation marks should be omitted. The quotation should start on a new line, and
the entire quote should be indented one inch (2,54 cm.) from the left margin.

FIGURES
The Figures should be black and white, acceptable formats: png, jpg, eps.
Resolution: 300 pix.

TRANSLITERATION
The transliteration of Macedonian names should be made according to the following
