The PCE Hose Cart was developed to handle tough field

conditions, allow faster cycle times, and minimize hose damage.

Maneuver Obstacles
PCE Hose Carts power hose off the reel to deploy around
corners or obstacles as the tractor drives. A hydraulic
hand valve, located on the inside frame of PCE Hose
Carts, works as an inching valve to operate the reel for
small tasks. Place hydraulics in a running position, and
use the hydraulics to help feed hose by hand around or
through complex obstacles like culverts.

PARTS FOR CLEAN-OUT
EMPTYING THE LINE
Cleaning out the line is the best practice for proper hose care. It makes
rolling hose back onto the cart far easier and more successful and causes
less wear and tear.
A few guidelines and tips:

￭￭ Use gravity to your advantage. Air compressors may not be able to push liquid
over big hills. Flow back into the pit through the pump when necessary, or use a
portable launcher to start from the top of a hill.
￭￭ Do not allow pumps to freely spin as air flows through bypasses. Be sure to
engage clutches if available.
￭￭ Ensure everyone is aware of the dangers of compressed air and maintain a
respectable distance of 50 feet from the hose and any units when the line is under
pressure. Never break couplers until all pressure in the system is diffused.
￭￭ For better air compressor performance, upgrade the air hose to a larger diameter
(1 1/2” Air Hose, Part #AIR-00995).
￭￭ PCE recommendations for compressor sizes:
6” hose, 185-250 cfm
7” hose, 250-375 cfm
8” hose, 375-600 cfm

IMPORTANCE OF AGITATION
Good agitation is the only way to create a consistent nutrient value from the
beginning of the pump out to the end of the pump out. Application of a consistent
nutrient offers a predictable fertilizer and increases the overall value of your
operation. Proper agitation also provides for a complete clean-out at each pumping
event. When stored solids are completely mixed and removed each year, the task of
managing manure as nutrient becomes predictable from one year to the next.

Advantages of Priming a Pump

Intake flow is unrestricted. The primary high head pump is not limited by a
smaller capacity feeder pump in front of it. This allows the pump its full range
of capacity as it was engineered for.
Energy-efficiency. Priming the pump uses free energy from the atmosphere
to push liquid up the hose and into the pump, saving you fuel.
Challenges of Priming
The pump must be within a specified vertical distance from the top of
the liquid in order to work properly. This distance is slightly minimized
for higher flow rates and decreases as the slurry becomes thicker. For
most situations priming is adequate, but the pump can always be fed

EASIER Placing the weight of the swing pipe and the hose
TURN- it pulls directly over the axle of a four-wheel-

an applicator. By making the turning point of
the swing pipe the same as the tractor axle, we
tighten the turn radius, eliminating the need to
back up on the end rows. When the swing pipe
operates independently of the toolbar, it remains
stationary and parallel to the ground when the
toolbar is picked up. This means a more stable
environment and less stress on the unit and hose.
PCE Swing Pipes mount cleanly using the tractor’s
factory bracket holes. With the ability to pull and
carry weight from this secure bracket, we use
larger steel piping in the flow tube to minimize
restrictions and increase system efficiency.

Honey Warrior Injectors
HONEY WARRIOR INJECTORS

PCE designs drag hose systems to deliver high flow rates. The
ETS HD Cart and 4500 Series toolbar offset tractor speed in lower
gallon-per-acre application due to its wide, robust frame. It’s also
tough enough to maneuver the hose and row units through the
field at HIGH flow rates and ground speeds.
This very flexible system is available with a single Honey Warrior
X row unit or can be modified to its twin disk tillage system. The
ETS tillage system can be modified to be a twin-disk system for
zone tillage, or can be used as a coulter shank system, with an
inline ripping modification. This highly adaptable tool is the most
accurate tool on the market.
PCE High-Flow Systems
Honey Warrior performs extremely well, particularly in

tough, rocky conditions. It features a rugged parallel arm
linkage and a heavy-duty air bag design for adjustable air
downpressure, Honey Warrior row units handle some of the
toughest zone building conditions you’ll ever face—wet/
damp soils, hard/dry soils, heavy corn-on-corn residue,
heavy green residue, pasture, alfalfa, grain stubble, even

PCE carries a full inventory of parts to support current

equipment manufacturer (OEM), as well as the Midwest
Warehouse for Cornell® Pumps. This allows us to fulfill
your engine and pump needs with minimal lead time.
With a large inventory on-hand, PCE is prepared for
on demand production and resale. Whether it’s parts,
equipment, or custom application, PCE has what you
need for nutrient application.

PCE MANUFACTURING
We strive to deliver a high-quality product within
the time frame demanded. In 2010, we opened a new
manufacturing facility with office space to support
the sale and manufacture of dragline equipment. This
15,000-sq.-ft. facility offers us the work space to better
serve you and your needs.
In order to respond effectively as the market evolves, PCE added a
15,000-sq.-ft. warehouse the following year. Serving as the Midwest
Warehouse for Cornell® Pumps, the additional warehouse space provides
inventory for faster turnaround and on-hand parts for all PCE units.
In 2012, a 31,500-sq.-ft. expansion to the manufacturing space opened,

bringing PCE’s total manufacturing space to over 45,000 sq. ft. This
addition provided space to expand manufacturing capabilities and tooling,
as well a safer working environment for our people.
All PCE manufactured products are now powder coated in-house,

providing superior longevity in the tough conditions your equipment
operates in. For continued quality improvement, PCE added a plate laser
at the beginning of 2014 and a Miller robotic welding cell to improve
throughput and weld quality.
New Solutions from R&D

As the industry moves forward, PCE seeks your help to drive evolution
in equipment and practices. Over the past year, we have added a number
of new product designs and upgrades: stronger hoses, new methods for
deployment and retrieval of hose, new lead pumps, hardened pumps,
new injection bars, and a fresh look at how to agitate barns, among
other things. Products are constantly updated to meet the needs of our
customers and crews.
As a professional custom application business, our teams continue to

pump 200+ million gallons per year locally with our own equipment.
