Leadership is about improving and flourishing people, as well as, empowering others

to reach their full potential. It’s about providing others with the right tools and
techniques not only to optimize the success of a firm but also to the lives of
individuals. In my opinion, a leader has to be honest, inspiring, motivating, and
intelligent. Moreover, a leader has to be a good communicator as well as a good
listener. Truly committed leaders aim to explore more and learn continually to
improve their skills. I believe that a leader becomes experienced by studying and
perceiving the mistakes and successes of others.
One of the most inspiring leaders of all time who went from a hard time to unique is
Oprah Winfrey. One of the most successful African Americans who encouraged an
entire generation to succeed.
Oprah made a great change in people's lives and was able to reach the entire world,
not only African Americans and women. Not only has she benefit from her status to
discuss global issues such as gender, race, poverty, and child abuse. But also, she
enhanced literacy and widespread reading, through her book club. Moreover, she has
broken down obstacles of male-dominated industry and expanded the way for other
women to follow in her footsteps. Furthermore, she has taught us new things and
inspired many in her career as a talk show host, actress, magazine publisher, and TV
movie producer.
Oprah Winfrey is a superior leader. She went through various tough times throughout
her life, yet managed to aspire and change people’s lives. Those are some reasons why
I chose her among all as an inspiring leader.
