To Whom It May Concern:
Please accept this letter of recommendation for Tristen Borland. I have known
Tristen at Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a student in my classes.
Tristen was enrolled for two semesters in my Digital Sports Production course,
through which we produced live webcasts of IUP’s Division II sports including football
and men’s and women’s basketball games. Through this course students are responsible
for all aspects of the production, including all control room positions, camera operation,
and on-air announcers. Tristen assumed several roles including working as play-by-play
and color announcer for football games, men’s and women’s basketball and courtside
reporter interviewing players and coaches,
Having this academic experience helped Tristen get a position with our local
commercial radio station, Renda Broadcasting, to help produce local high school
football games.
‘Through my interaction with Tristen in this course, I can attest to his solid
work ethic. He accepted every position assigned to him and worked hard to perform up
to my expectations. He is a team player who was well-liked by the other members of
our production team,
1 am pleased to be able to recommend Tristen for an internship or an entry-
level position. IfI can provide additional information, please contact me.
