RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE FINAL (PROCTORED) ROUND OF

THE OLYMPIAD
1. Participants are not allowed to give access to their account in the proctoring system
to any other person.
2. Participants are responsible for complying with the following requirements for
proctoring:
- providing the original of their personal identity document;
- providing quiet environment devoid of talking or other distractions;
- providing sufficient lighting bright enough to be considered daylight quality;
- ensuring fast Internet connection ensuring a high quality video and audio signal;
- providing a computer and software meeting the technical requirements of the
proctored test;
- testing the quality of transmission of the video and audio signal using the Examus
application.
3. Each participant agrees that the person whose document and image were scanned by
the proctoring system during the first entry is the owner of the personal account in the
proctoring system.
4. Only the original of the identity document can be used for identity verification during
the proctored stage.
5. Participants must stay in full view of the webcam during the proctored test.
6. Participants are not allowed to mute the microphone or to reduce its level of
sensitivity to sound.
7. Participants must use only one means of image transmission (a monitor, a TV, a
projector), only one keyboard, a computer mouse or a trackpoint during the proctored
test.
8. Participants must not seek assistance from any other person during the proctored test.
9. When performing the tasks, participants are requested to look straight at the computer
screen and not to look sideways for more than 15 consecutive seconds.
10. Participants must not provide unauthorized access to their computer during the
proctored test.
11. During the test, participants are not allowed to communicate with any other person.
It is not allowed to use any reference materials (books, cheat sheets, notes including
electronic ones), any gadget (a cell phone, a pager, or a tablet), monitors and computers
in addition to the ones used to solve the tasks of the second round. Participants must
not use or open any browsers (Yandex, Google, etc.).
12. It is not allowed to use instant messengers and other electronic communication
software.
13. Participants are not allowed to take screenshots of the tasks of the final round or to
copy them in any form.
14. It is forbidden to read aloud the tasks of the final round.
15. Participants not allowed to use headphones, a headset or earbuds during the
proctored stage.
16. Participants are allowed to use a calculator, a pen and paper for solving the
proctored test tasks. Participants of the “Political Science” section are not allowed to
use a calculator.
17. Participants of the “Computer and Data Science” section are allowed to use the
following sites and software: ejudge, deone.com, cppreference.com, docs.python.org,
docs.oracle.com, and docs.microsoft.com.
18. In case of breaching the rules of the Olympiad and academic ethic (cheating, using
prompts, fabricating data, etc.) the result of the second round of the Olympiad will be
annulled.
