Circular
The Guideline for fall 2020 Online Open Book Examinations under semester system is
as follows
i) This policy will be applicable on semesters started after July 15, 2020 and
onwards both in main campus and affiliated colleges
ii) Practical Examination will be a written examination based on Lab procedures

iii) Student grievances will be addressed by the university online grievance

committee to decide medical/freezing cases and other complaints based on
genuine grounds.
iv) Students involved in cheating/unpermitted collaboration/plagiarism shall be
liable for punishment that can lead to cancellation of papers either fully or
partially.
v) The duration of take-home open-book examination will be 24 hours including
downloading of question paper and uploading of solved paper via
LMS/Email/WhatsApp account of concerned teacher directly. The paper shall
start at 2 pm (Afternoon) sharp.
vi) The solved paper must be hand written with blue ink.
vii) It is mandatory for students to submit hard copy of the solved hand written
papers after completion of their exam to the department via registered mail
within Five days of last paper otherwise his/her paper will not be considered.
Student must keep the receipt of mail. However it is mandatory for concerned
teacher and student to maintain the record of sessional work in soft form only
and students need not to send sessional work to department in hard form.
viii) Solved paper header will consist of following information:
Student Name; Roll No; Session; Subject Name; CNIC No; Signature of student;
Date and Total Pages; Department/College Name. Whereas Signature and CNIC
of student on top of every other page of solved paper.
ix) Student who does not want to take examination under aforementioned method
can apply for freezing to university grievance committee through HoD before
start of Examination either through WhatsApp or email to concerned HoD.
Students from affiliated colleges can apply freezing to University Focal Person
 for affiliated colleges (Dr.Irshad) through Principal of College/College Focal
Person.
x) Students from main campus will send hard copies of their solved papers through
post (Registered Mail) to their concerned HoD and students from affiliated
colleges will send hard copies to In charge affiliation desk UOK AJK within
five days of their last paper
xi) Template of Award Sheet to be used for online examination is attached
