Chapter 2:
ASUS NB_MB Number Rule
NB_MB Part Number Rule

◎Model clarification: Part Number of BOM main part.

◎PCBA name: the abbreviation of PCBA, for example: MAIN BOARD is MB for short,INVERTER BOARD is IN etc.
◎PCB code: there’s some PCB board only different with the component. For differentiating it, we code it
with 01,02,…,98,99.
◎Customer type: according to the requirement from different customers, we code PCB board with 1、2、…、8、9
chronologically. And “0” means it’s “Generic” and produced at first.
◎PCB revision: the label of PCB blank board is 0,1,2,…,8,9. (Comparing to the revision in specification, we have to
reference RD’s definition. For example, the M/B revision of M8A model, 0 is PCB R2.00, 1 is PCB R2.10,
2 is PCB R2.20, 3 is PCB R2.20, 4 is PCB R2.30…etc.)
◎PCBA revision: these three number mean different revisions after PCBA being rework. And they are defined by project
department and informed to engineers.
【PS1】Part Number starting with “60” shows the detail revision of PCB and the revision engraved on blank PCB board.
【PS2】Part Number starting with “70” shows the same meanings with “60”, and it should keep pace with “60” too.
The only one difference between them is “60” has PCBA revision.
