Homework No. 1.

Chapter 18: Problems 1 through 17

1. The homework is not all that long and you will have plenty of time to do it. Please
pay particular attention to issues of the electric and magnetic field in the far field.
Although so far we talked both of the near and fat field almost all antenna
properties and work is in the far field.
2. Properties like pattern, directivity, etc. are only properly defined in the far field.
3. Please address any questions you may have as they rise .
